arjunmca Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Hi, I have a different situation. Two employers A, B filed H1b with in a week difference, both got approved till 2015. I went to stamping with employer A, visa approved and came to US. Due to salary issues, employer A cancelled my H1b without notice. What about my status after H1b cancellation. 1) Am i out of status? 2) Cant my status valid with employer B I-797 3) If i am out of status, will be a problem for my green card process? Thanks.
t75 Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 You apparently are unemployed. If so, you are out of status and that can certain affect any future US immigration processing. You have far bigger problems than a future green card.
JoeF Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 You are out of status, and that of course has consequences.
arjunmca Posted February 17, 2013 Author Report Posted February 17, 2013 You are out of status, and that of course has consequences. Hi JoeF, Thanks for your response. Forget about Greencard. To get status what i have to do immediately? Is there a way to get status with Employer B I-797?
t75 Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Get a job. If it is with B,exit and reenter with stamping and approval notice for B. If you are readmitted, you will be back in status.
