gudlucky Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Hi, My I-140 was filed under consular processing and got approved recently. Now I want to change it to AOS. Can anyone kindly let me know what is the process to do so? I received the case status update from USCIS stating that the approved I-140 case petition will be sent to the National Visa Center or the Department of State for processing. Since I opted for consular processing at the time of filing I-140, my case will be sent to the NVC. So what is the process to inform USCIS to get back/transfer the case again to USCIS if I want to choose AOS process?? Do I need to file any petition to change it to AOS from consular? Kindly let me know.I appreciate your response. Thanks !
gudlucky Posted February 13, 2013 Author Report Posted February 13, 2013 While filing I-140 I was in India and hence consular processing was opted. But right now I am in US, so in this case I don't have to file any petition to do AOS? Please let me know.
