As per the latest March VB:

Employment Second:

Worldwide: Current

China: Three to six weeks

India: No movement. Despite the established cut-off date having been held for the past five months in an effort to keep demand within the average monthly usage targets, the amount of demand being received from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Offices for adjustment of status cases remains extremely high. Should the current rate of demand continue, it is likely that at some point the cut-off date will need to be retrogressed in an effort to hold demand within the FY-2013 annual limit.

Hence for us, the unfortunate lot belonging to EB2 India, almost nil hope. I wonder how back will the dates retrogressed to..... :( :(

It means people in EB3 category who had PD before Nov 2004 are porting to EB2 at huge volumes. That explains why EB2 India hasn't been moving. That is why they are planning to retrograde the dates further. I wonder where were all these EB3 porters when EB2 priority date was beyond Feb 2005 (since Jan 2010 bulletin). Did they suddenly wake up one fine day in October 2012 and decided "chalo aaj hum EB2 ko port karenge just for kicks" ? Doesn't make sense to me.

it may have taken them that much time to get eb2 perm filed and approved and later ready to file or convey to cis of the porting.

As 140's are getting approved, this is happening also.

So, it has been happening for a long time; just now cis is waking upto this reality and they are conveying to dos the huge increase in demand.
