Petition Validity and H1 Visa Start Date

Hi there

My H1 Petition was approved in Nov 2012 and I am in the process of stamping preparation.

But got couple of doubts so thought to clarify them.

1. What will be the validity of H1 Petition ?

Meaning that time-frame of months within which we should get the Visa Stamping using this petition.

2. What will be H1 Visa Start Date / End Date printed in Visa ?

Meaning will Visa Start Date = Visa Stamping Date at Consulate

Visa Expiry Date = 3 years from start date

Please advise.

There's no timeframe to ge your visa stamped.

H1b visa will be valid from the date of your vis interview to the I797 expiry date
