Attorney_11 Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 Generally, an individual seeking H-4 is permitted to apply for it directly at the US Consulate with supporting documentation and proof of the principal's approval for H-1B classification, without requiring separate H-4 approval from USCIS. Travel is always a risk. Individual travel matters are best discussed during a consultation with a qualified immigration attorney.
