AOS: Switching back to H1b will have any impact to I 485

My I 485 (Pending), EAD Expires on Feb 5th 2013. I have Applied for EAD Renewal in Dec 11th and it is still in Pending state. I was thinking that i could use my H1 B petition approval for consular notification ( Which is valid till April 1st 2013) and my company has applied for a new H counsular petition under premium processing. I was told that I may have to outside US ( Canada?) and get it stamped so that i can use the same to continue working beyond Feb 5th. I was also told that it may have an impact to my I 485 Petition and there is a risk of USCIS denying/cancelling the I 485 Petition.

Note: My last entry to US is through Advance Parole and have an I 94 till Nov 2013

Could you please advise

a) If there will be an impact ( even it is minor as well) for my Pending I 485 Petition

b) I am assuming that if I wait for my EAD to get approved and not work till it comes, there is no impact to my I 485 petition. Please let me know if this is the best option.

c) Any other options to handle my situation
