what happens to I-140 when employer is changed?

Hi,

Need your advise on this. Appreciate any comments.

My wife and I got I-140 approved recently. Her priority date is in Nov2011 and My priority date is Mar2012. Both of us are on EB2.

1. Given the current pace at which EB2 Green card is progressing, will you be able to tell how long our Green card approval would take?

2. My wife got a full time offer from a company. We are wondering whether we should take it now. If she takes the offer now, what will happen to her current I-140? I-140 transferrable? Is it a good idea joining the company? I do not have any plans to change my company.

An I-140 is specific to the company.

If she wants to continue the GC process, she will need a new I-140 with the new company. She may be able to retain the earlier priority date.
