Successful H1B Visa stamping in Toronto

I got a lot of help from this forum, now is my payback time.

My interview date was on 23 Jan in Toronto. found a sharing room from one of the post here in the forums.

Bond Place Hotel is about 15-20 min walk from the consulate.

Brief info about my case:

i did my MS from US, got my H1B in Nov 2012 and working as a contractor

interview time: 10:00 AM,waited in line for about 1 hr finally time for security check. i did not have a picture on my DS-160, so had some 2" by 2" pictures with me,submitted my H1B documents at the window, got my finger prints done. finally time for the interview.

Q- Are you XXXX ..Asked my name..?

A- Yes

Q- so it's a new H1B?

A- Yes

Q- who is your employer?

A- answered that -- proactively told him that i'm working for end Client

Q- what is your job profile?

A-Programmer analyst -- same was mentioned on my LCA

Q- who is the end client?

A- told him i'm working with XXX client

Q- how long you been working with them?

A- Told him the duration of my job

Q- who was ur end Client before that?

A- told him my previous end client

Q- was there any gap between the 2 jobs?

A- yes, told him the gap period

Q- how long you worked for that client?

A- told him the duration

Q- so you were with the same employer at that time?

A- yes

Q- asked for my LCA copy?

A- handed over my LCA copy, officer looked at that for 1 min.

Q- so what are your duties at job.?

A- told all my duties mentioned on my LCA.. make sure you tell me those duties mentioned on ur LCA, then if you want to add more, you can.

Q- what is your higher level of education?

A- MS in computer science from xxxxx university.

Q- what all subjects did you have in computers?

A- all computer related languages..basically he wanted to make sure i'm working in the same stream of education

Q-show me your W-2 and tax returns for all years

A- handed over my W-2 and tax returns-- didn't looked at my tax return and gave me the White approved slip

and told me to collect my passport after 3-5 business days.

Places to eat Indian Food: there are a lot of places near the hotel -- one is Little India- good food

Just be confident and don't fumble.

Did you change the end client after the H1? If yes, did you do your H1 Amendment for change of location?

I dont think LCA have any Duties mentioned .. is it from Employer Letter?

And How a many day's it took for you to receive your Passport ?

@Megnaik: No i did not change my end client after my H1, but i'll suggest to take any document that you feel is needed..

@mbiradar85: thanks,sorry my Bad, it was not from LCA, but my Client letter, Vendor Letter, and my Employer letter had all the same duties mentioned on them.
