COS to H1B from L1B

Hi,

I am currently on L1B from April 2012 and it is expiring in Jan2013. I was in US on H1B from Feb2007 to Jan2009. But H1B got expired on Sep 2009. L1B and H1B are from different companies. I am planning to move on H1B before expiry of L1B. Please let me know the possible options to use the old H1B.

Generally, time in L and H counts towards the maximum time periods in each classification. Thus, one could be eligible for change of status from L-1B to H-1B, but must calculate all previous time in H-1B and L-1B in most cases to determine how much H-1B time is left.
