nathuusa Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Hello Friends , Need some guidance here . My H1B was approved in Oct 2012 for one year .How ever , my project start date in the US has been delayed and the new start date is May 15th 2013 . I completed my stamping in Jan 2012 and have the visa stamped now .With s start date of May 15th (my travel date to US) and with WP expiring in September 30th 2013 , I am wondering if four months is a good time to apply for renewal . Please advise . Thanks, Binoy

binoca82 Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Yes, you have enough time to apply for the extension. I94 will be issued at the POE, you can submit the extension within 6 months to the I94 expiry.

cooldude76 Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 Its better that you have 2 paystubs while you apply for an H1 renewal. BTW one can apply for a H1 extension 6 months before the current expiry, so you should be good.
