H1B WP Renewal Query

Hello Friends ,

Need some guidance here .

My H1B was approved in Oct 2012 for one year .How ever , my project start date in the US has been delayed and the new start date is May 15th 2013 .

I completed my stamping in Jan 2012 and have the visa stamped now .With s start date of May 15th (my travel date to US) and with WP expiring in September 30th 2013 , I am wondering if four months is a good time to apply for renewal .

Yes, you have enough time to apply for the extension. I94 will be issued at the POE, you can submit the extension within 6 months to the I94 expiry.

Its better that you have 2 paystubs while you apply for an H1 renewal.

BTW one can apply for a H1 extension 6 months before the current expiry, so you should be good.
