Passport or Visa Pickup in Mexico

Hello Folks

I'm travelling to Merida, Mexico for F1 stamping. The mexican US consulates all say on their websites that the passport will only be mailed by DHL. But most people have said here in the forums that they picked up their passport the next day.

Questions to anybody who stamped in Mexico:

Q1. Do you pickup the passport at the Consulate, ASC or DHL?

Q2. If DHL, the appointment detail page says that proper identification is required for DHL delivery/pickup. And accepted identification includes only Mexican ID cards. I would only have a US and Indian Driver License. Would that work?

I picked up my passport the very same day from the consulate. It was an H1-B in Oct 2012. Hope that helps.
