Got H1B in USA need to get it stamped in India for the first time

Hello all,

I had a change of status from L2 to H1B in the US and am planning to travel to India this month. Since this is the first time to get H1 stamped, can anyone please let me know what are the documents required.

Also my spouse is on L1 and my kid is born in the US.. Do they have to accompany me to the US consulate in India?

Kids born in the US are US citizens. No need for any visa for them.

And your spouse's L1 is independent from your H1, so there is no need for your spouse to accompany you, either.
