Hi,

I had H1B workvisa from my previous employer in India in the year October 2007 and it was valid till September 2010.My I797 form was approved in 2007 ,as I heard that the H1 will be valid for 6 yrs can I use the same I797 form for reapplying? (I have never travelled to US in my visa validity period,I dont have SSN) .Know currently I am in US on H4 visa ,If I apply for H1B visa Will I come into Quota or Cap exempt?

Please help with necessary details,would be very grateful.
