Is there a minimum validity of H1B to start GC process?

I have 1.5 years left on by H1B before I complete the 6 year phase.

I know that it is ideal to start the GC process ideally as soon as possible. But what is the minimum period that should remain on the H1B before which I should start the process?

There is no minimum H1B validity for GC process.In fact your GC is not related to your H1.

H1 and GC are independent processes. You don't even need to be on H1 to go for a GC.
