christa Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 Hi! Is it true that if an individual makes a certain amount of investment in the US (Say gets Gas station or a franchise - subway etc). Does it contribute to getting some documentation and status. If yes, what is the amount that is required to be put in. Thanks Christa
JoeF Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 If you invest $1M of your own money and hire at least 10 Americans of Permanent Residents, then you can get a Greencard in the EB5 category. That's way above the gas station or Subway level.
Attorney_23 Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 Joe is correct (although I'm actually not sure how much it costs to buy a Subway franchise!) That being said, you can still qualify for EB-5 with a mere $500,000 investment if you open the business in a targeted employment area.
