H1B stamping before start date

Hi Gurus,

Thanks for the great work!

I have a question about H1 extension stamping/port of entry and was hoping some of you folks would be able to clarify my doubts.

- My current H1 petition is valid till 03/18/2013

- Extension H1 petition approved from 03/19/2013 to 12/30/2015

- My visa with old employer was expired in 12/10/2010

Question - I am going for visa stamping on Feb 4th 2013. Will they issue visa till 12/30/2015? If so can i come back on Feb 9th 2013? Please advice

yes. your stamping will be based on new i797. you can come back after your visa is approved.. always use new i797 whereever required in the application & submission.
