Importance of Country of Birth in GC process

Hello All,

My employer will file the GC in EB2 after an year of performance . I am indian citizen but born in UAE and lived there for 15 years. I have the UAE birth certificate which is in Arabic but i also have the translated copy in English done by a notary.

Since my country of birth is UAE will it be of any help for getting my priority date as current when GC starts. I read from bulletin the ROW Priority date is current for EB2

It is always the country of birth that matters. You would fall into ROW.
