shaa Posted January 24, 2013 Report Posted January 24, 2013 Hello, If I decide to change job change while EAD renewal is pending, is that a big risk ? I have heard about getting interim EAD if renewal is pending for more than 75/90 days. If I don't get renewed approval within 90 days, is it easy to get interim EAD? I would appreciate response/inputs/experience.
Attorney_11 Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 USCIS local office ceased producing interim EADs some time ago. Nowadays, USCIS stays very close to the 90 days period, and if they are getting close to exceeding it, one must call the USCIS Customer Service phone number for them to initiate an urgent service request so that a new EAD can be issued before the old one expires, which would require one to stop working because of loss of their work authorization.
