H1B Visa Stamping @Calgary on Feb 5th

I'm looking for stay in Calgary and ready to share. Also does anyone know how long the Visa process is taking.

I took have an appoinment at Calgary US consulate on April 2nd. I would like to know prior experiances and how long would the processing takes.

I'm a full time employee working for a big firm. What suggestion do you have regarding this consulate?

• If your visa is approved at Calgary, it takes at least 3 business days including the your appointment day.
  
• When you arrive at Calgary, please make sure you are not making any arrangements to go back to USA. You might not know what it is going to happen to your interview.
  
• Be prepared to stay here at least 3-4 business days as appointments are available only on Tuesdays.
  
• Look for a cheap hotel which provides free Wifi. I would suggest Carriage House Inn, 8kms South of downtown. If you get a nice bid in Priceline, Go for it.
  
• Always try to book one-way ticket to Calagry.
  
• When you arrive at Calgary, Canadian boarder security will ask you why did you came to Calgary and why didn't you booked the return ticket. Tell them that you are here for the US visa renewal and you do not know up front how long this process takes. And hence you just booked one-way flight. They will understand this as they have seen so many of these cases. Tell them the truth.
