omi123
I have a situation. I recently moved jobs on AC21 but not happy with the way things are going. I am worried that if i quit would be company come after me for the relocation expenses. The offer letter which I signed does not specially mention about relocation repayment but goes on to say that the relocation T&C's will be followed. The relocation policy which is not signed by me mentions that if i quit within one year i am required to repay the expenses. I am confused and continuing the job due to this fear of repaying the expenses. These expenses were already incurred in moving and cannot afford to repay. I work for a big multinational firm so I wonder if they go after people for recovery with what outcome. Please advice as i am caught in a bad situation and trying to figure way out? Belle, JoeF would like to hear from you as well. Thanks a lot... Link to comment

Belle
Yes, they might come after you, as I have heard about that happening. That's assuming you are not moving abroad (it would be harder for the employer to sue you for the expenses abroad). It won't impact your immigration situation, though, since it's a private matter. catx
Contractually in signing the offer letter you agreed to the relocation terms and conditions, which were included in the offer letter by reference. In other words, you agreed to, and are legally bound by, the relocation terms and conditions that included repayment of associated expenses if you leave the company's employment within the first years.
