thescorpion Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 Dear All I hope I can get some answers to 100' of questions that are running in my mind to schedule my H1B visa interview. So here is the case I am currently in India, and working with company X....I was working in US from 2007 to 2010 with company X's US branch on a H1B and then came back to India for some reasons. I was looking for opportunities to go back to US again. My previous H1B petition and Visa expired in between. Then I came across US company Y, who agreed to hire me and processed my H1B extension under premium processing. Now the petition is approved and extended for 3 more years. I understand I will need to go for a Visa stamping again. I havent started working for Company Y in India. I will join them directly in US The questions I have 1) DO I fall under Visa waiver program, since I had a h1B Visa previously 2) If no, what are the next steps in order to get a Visa stamping. My Wife (I got married recently) would be joining to US this time. 3) Do I have to fill a separate DS160 for my wife, or one DS 160 for both of would be fine 4) I am planning to take a single interview slot for both of us. IS this fine? 5) I understand the consulate fee is 190$. Is the fee applicable to both of us, or we will have to take 190$ for each of us 6) I havent left my previous company X . I will put down my papers once I get my Visa. Will that be a problem during visa interview? Of Curse, I wnt tell them, but will the consulate ask for any employment letter for my US company Y 7) If the consulate asks for US company Y's credentials, how do I prove my employment? Appreciate if someone can guide me thru this. Best Regards
