Phal Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 Hi, I had H1B visa interview in September 2012 and was given 221 (g). I lost my job now while the background check is still under process. During my visa interview I was told that they are going to check if my client letter is fake or not. As I lost my job, Is there any possibility I may get H1B Visa? What can I do legally since the delay in issuing my visa is the reason for losing my job. Regards, Mark
rahul412 Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 What can I do legally since the delay in issuing my visa is the reason for losing my job. FTE.
pontevecchio Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 You cannot do anything except look for a new H1 sponsor.
wiweq Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 " I lost my job now while the background check is still under process." Sad to know that. "What can I do legally since the delay in issuing my visa is the reason for losing my job." Unfortunately, you can't do anything.
Phal Posted January 13, 2013 Author Report Posted January 13, 2013 Does the consulate let me know if they reject/deny my H1B visa? I guess if they consulate takes more than 6 months to investigate, it doesn't make sense for new H1.
rahul412 Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 @rahul412 what does FTE mean? If you are working as a consultant then, go for full time employment(FTE).
