Back to back RFEs for my first H1 Extension

Hi Friends,

I received 2 back to back RFEs for my first H1 Extension.

First RFE was on December 29th, 2012 & second RFE was mailed on January 4th, 2013. I have not received the details yet.

Is it normal to get 2 back to back RFEs in so quick succession? Is any one knowing about similar experience?

Also my I94 expired on October 10th, 2012. H1 Extension appiled for on August 8th.

In case RFE response gets delayed, will I need to go back after completion of 240 days from expiry of I94 or does legal period to stay increases in case of RFE.

Please let me know.

I am yet to receive details. Curious to know what could be the possible reasons. Can it happen that USCIS actually posted mail on January 4th after updating on Dec 29th. Or can there be 2 different RFEs ?

Does RFEs contain date on which they were raised? If so I will need to check for both RFEs.
