HI - I don't think that is normal, once ur visa is approved turn around time is 2 - 3 days. Did u check the status of ur passport at the consulate website? Try reaching out to the consular section of the embassy regarding this.

Hi Pavan,

I am from Delhi and since the new system rolled out (USTraveldocs) I think it is up to the applicant to pick up the passport after stamping from selected pick up location (mine was BEP case so I am assuming if delivery was possible company would have it delivered to their office).

You can drop a mail to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com with your passport number ONLY in subject as well as body of email. You will get status email in 10-20 seconds. If it is "Ready for pick up" then collect it from OFC.

Also you can use your DS160 confirmation number/application ID to track your case status at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx.

USTraveldocs has an option of online chat as well from within the website as well as through skype (ustraveldocs-india).

Reach out to them and hopefully you will get your passport soon.

@Asinv3

In US Counsulate Website, it says ISSUED. That means its in the process of stamping right?

@rajMarch212011

Since mine is a re-interview and they had vfs at that time, i guess my passport will be handed over to VFS for delivery not ustraveldocs.

@Foreigner2012

It took almost 8 months for me from first visa interview to re-interview
