Me: Yes VO: Give me the client letter and LCA I gave client letter and LCA to the VO he checked the location on Client Letter and LCA. Asked me is your client in XXXX location. I said yes. He said my visa is approved. It was a 3-4 min interview. He was doing some typing in between. Be confident if you have a job you will get your visa and be prepared with your answers and don't tell too much to the VO. Answers should be short and confident.

Ramnath Posted December 21, 2012 Author Report Posted December 21, 2012 Hi Ramanth, I have a question regarding about whats your salary. Currently I am getting about 80K salary, but my LCA says 55K. But from last 1yr I have all paystubs with 80K salary. Please let me know, What should I answer if VO asks whats your salary. Thanks You can say 80K. Your salary need not match the salary on LCA but it should not be less than the salary on LCA.Thanks
ssudula Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 That wont be a problem. Your pay should not be less than your LCA. You can get/make more salary than your LCA. If VO asks tell him whats on your LCA and employer letter. Regarding the extra money which your are making than LCA (if Vo asks only) you can tell him that you will get paid for Over Time. All the best!
Ramnath Posted December 21, 2012 Author Report Posted December 21, 2012 Salary on LCA is the minimum salary you need to be paid by your employer for that position in the location mentioned on your LCA. Salary on LCA varies from place to place. You can get more that what you have on LCA and no one objects it. VO will not ask you about salary on LCA and paystub. If at all VO asks you just tell him your employer pays that amount for xxxx position with x yeas of experience.

aman05 Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 Congrats Ramnath !!! Hello Raghu, when is your interview & which location? I have seen similar case, he got query and his Visa is on hold. He attended interview 1 week back at Vancouver. VO asked his LCA and w2, looked at the pay difference and raised a concern. He is getting around 85K but his LCA says that 45K. So VO officer asked that you are getting unusual salary, it's almost the double and told him that they need to check with his employer and take decision his case. He replied to VO that I have been working in same project for 3 years and it's expense paid project and he is getting all elevenses and also it's showing in pay check too (Thru ADP) (No perdiem), still VO did not satisfy and kept his case on hold. BTW no 221G though. After that his employer immd contacted the embassy and gave them explanation that they are paying to all employees similarly and provided the supporting finance documents 2 days back and waiting for result. Be prepare for any question... Some VO may ask or some may not ask ... All the best !!!
