deestweets Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 Once the I140 is approved can one continue on L1B or L1A in US? Can the spouse continue in corresponding L2 and apply for EAD and continue to work if needed? Any response from the attorneys will be appreciated. I have been trying to find the answer to this for a while. Thank You. Dee
t75 Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 If you need a response from an attorney, pay for a consultation.
JoeF Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 Unlike for the H1, there is no option for people on L1 to continue working once their time on L1 is up.
deestweets Posted December 18, 2012 Author Report Posted December 18, 2012 t75 - Thank You for your help. JoeF - Once I140 is approved, what will be the Visa status then? Will it be converted to H1B?
JoeF Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 An I-140 does not give you any immigration rights. Your status does not change.
