H4 Visa Interview from Mexico

Hello All,

Currently i am staying in mexico and my wife is in US on H1B. I would like to join her on H4. Does any one know if it is possible to apply for H4 from Mexico when primary applicant (H1) is not available. I am seeing H4 option while filling DS160, but while trying to take for appointment, only H1B is enabled and H4 is not available.

If any one has any idea, please help me.

it should work, you should click as spouse of H1b. yes, you can book the appointment from anywhere if you can provide he visa office with good evidence of your stay in mexico.he might ask why you are not booking your interview in india instead so be prepared.
