Lifeupsidedown Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 I hear that USCIS is busy processing DACA applications, which are almost a Million. No hope for legal immigrats, especially for Indians who are standing in line for ever..
AxialTilt Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 I am sooooo happy EB2 India did not go back to 1879, wow, awesome, this made my day!!!
JoeF Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 I hear that USCIS is busy processing DACA applications, which are almost a Million. That has absolutely nothing to do with the PD. The PD is determined by the number of EB applications. Please don't spread misinformation. Thank you.

Please don't spread misinformation. Thank you. I hear ya, all I was saying is, the PD movement is not inching forward as they are not sending approvals as expected. Without approvals, the number of applications waiting are high and PD wont move forward.
tusharvk Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 no spillover from eb1 and no idea on the # of eb3->2 upgrades. So there the date remains stuck.
Pokymon Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 I think Democrats wants all 11 millions legalized first then concentrate on legal people. They want to make money from legal people through income tax, sales tax, rent, mortgages, car loan, social security, medicare, legal fees, etc. for another 70 years.

Without approvals, the number of applications waiting are high and PD wont move forward. It is still WRONG. DACA has nothing, absolutely NOTHING NADA to do with the PD. Get that idea out of your head.

The 70-year number is completely bogus. I suggest you go back to school and learn some basic math.
Lifeupsidedown Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 It is still WRONG. DACA has nothing, absolutely NOTHING NADA to do with the PD. Get that idea out of your head. There are several media reports on how DACA applications are impacting other applications. I did the homework for you. If you google, you will get a bunch more... it doesnt hurt you to be open minded, does it? http://*********************.html
Pokymon Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 Joe has issues with legal immigration. He was opposing HR3012 from day one. However, he is ok with illegal immigration - you can see his posts regarding DACA. I have an answer for Joe regarding 70 years wait. Here is my math (not calculus). Total visas required is about 210,000+, yearly quota is 2,880. So simple aritimatic calculation would be 210,000/2880 = 73 years. Don't tell me to marry a US citizen, or make a baby, or anything. I am going to stick to the immigration laws of USA.
tusharvk Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 well if uscis publishes their report of 485 number usage, one could compare that to fy2012 first quarter. If there is a slowdown, it would show on that.
Illinois_Dude Posted December 14, 2012 Report Posted December 14, 2012 @Lifeupsidedown -There are several media reports on how DACA applications are impacting other applications. I did the homework for you. If you google, you will get a bunch more... it doesnt hurt you to be open minded, does it? I googled "DACA slowing USCIS" and found articles which clearly state that USCIS has been slowed down due to the deluge of DACA applications. They say that they are basing this on statistics . Citizens desiring to bring in their alien spouses and U.S. employers wanting to import foreign workers are just two of the many groups that are indirectly impacted by the new DACA program. Joef , you keep refuting these things as though you have some solid information from USCIS . I am not saying these articles are entirely correct but how can you state so confidently that this is not the case. Do you actually know somebody working for USCIS ? The article also mentions that the agency (USCIS) has not added enough additional staff to cope with all the young people who entered the nation illegally before the age of 16, and who now want the short-term legal status offered by that program. So it is but logical that USCIS will get slowed down.. How can you explain the fact that EB2 India is till stuck in Septemenr of 2004 when there are only 675 cases prior to 2006.. Joef , the vehemence with which you deny stuff that sounds so obvious is sometimes hilarious

That would be another indicator. This has nothing to do with the pd movement. If they do not have resources, who is going to do all the work?
