Hi My friend had an interview in vanoucer on dec3rd @10:00AM, every question was answered correctly but the only thing was my friends petitioner is different from the one who ran the payroll.

payroll was run under the sister company. VO said they need to verify since VO never came across such kind of situation. She said it would take 2 weeks but later said it might be done in 3 days too. VO(she) took PP,I797,LCA,I129,Paystubs,Client email confirmatioin & my frnds phone number and said they will give a call in few days. Its been 5 days that we haven't heard anything yet. Contacted client manager and he said he was not contacted by anyone yet. Same with the employer and sister company.

Anyone else faced this kinda situation? Any idea of what verification does the US Consulate do in these situations? What are the chances of getting the visa approved.

Sent an email on Dec7th to the consulate asking for the status but no reply yet ...still waiting.

Please advice and share your thoughts.

Thanks.

Today we sent a 2nd email(1st was sent on friday) asking the status of the case and then they replied

"""Dear Madam,

We will be requiring more information from you before we can completely process your case. Under 221(G) of the United States Immigration and Nationality Act(INA), a consular officer may not issue a visa to any applicant whose eligibility has not clearly been established. Further action on your case has been suspended pending the receipt and review of the additional documents listed below.

You are authorized to return to the Consulate between 11:30am – Noon, or 2:15pm – 2:45pm any business day [Please note the US Consulate is closed Canadian & US holidays, and the 3rd Wednesday of every month] with the following information/documents:

We would like to request the following:

1) Written explanation from your Petitioner as to why your pay statements indicate you are not being paid directly by them

2) If there is a business relationship between your Petitioner & XXX(sister company), we will need to see contracts/agreements proving this.

If your Petitioner does not wish to provide the information to you, you may instruct them to send it to us directly using the mailing address below. After you have submitted the documents, and they have been reviewed, you will be invited back for a second interview at a time which will be arranged once your file is complete.""""

They did not give any slip or 221g at the time of interview but now they are talking about that ....!
