it Seems House has passed the STEM bill. I want to know how it will impact my case and how soon.

I have a MS degree in Computer Science from US.

1st GC case:

EB3 - 1st Nov 2004

I140 approved, I485 pending and on EAD past 6 yrs..

In Aug,2012 - New GC application

Filed EB2 - Labor approved

I140 filing due in Dec, 2012 with request to port Priority Date from EB3.

Thanks

This bill won't go anywhere. It was just a political stunt by the Republicans.

the Senate is busy with the fiscal cliff stuff, and they only have 8 days left.

on a side note, your pd is quite close. If successfully ported, you do not need to be concerned too much.

Yes my PD is close but I am hearing that dates won't move forward for next few months..

I am getting better job offers now..is it worth waiting for few months(not sure how many) or take a new job and hope EB3 will move or apply for new EB2 later with new company.

There have been two STEM bills. STEM stands for "Science, Technology, Engineering, Math". These bills, if they had become law, would have provided more GCs for people who have advanced degrees in a STEM field from a US university.

However, these bills are dead.
