adari09 Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 First of all I would like to thank Murthy forum. My Experience EVC Model F1 - H1B After all the security checks and fingerprints I was called for an interview VO: How long are you working for your employer? XXX years VO: I see you work in California (Client location) but your employer is at a different place...Did you ever been to your employer's work place? I have been trained at my employer's work place and then they sent me to the client location. VO: How long you have been working for the client? XXX years VO: What do you do? XXX He started typing for about 2-3 minutes and said its been approved. Calgary sure is one of the better option after Vancouver because the people i have met after my interview, everyone got their visa approved. But would definitely suggest do your own research before you decide upon where to go for your stamping. Only suggestion : Except your documents and few cash do not carry any other stuff to the consulate. All the very best for everyone. Thanks
NewH1-B Posted December 1, 2012 Report Posted December 1, 2012 Hi Did the VO ask for any client letter to you or any proof of documents .
mihir015 Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 Hey Congratulation for your visa. Will please share some information about hotels and commuting at Calgary ?
adari09 Posted December 3, 2012 Author Report Posted December 3, 2012 Before you are called for the interview...they will be collecting your Appointment confirmation, Passport, 797, Employer letter & I-129. Depends on the VO if he wants to check any other document. But in my case he didnt ask me any additional documents We stayed at Comfort Inn, Macleod trail ((Price $110-125 per day)) and the consulate was about 4-5km from the motel that is about 10min. Cab charges would be $12-13 one way. There are Hi Hostels near the consulate which is relatively cheap ($35 per day). You can walk to the consulate from here If you are sharing the accommodation i would suggest Comfort Inn cos its much better because Hi Hostels is a hostel accommodated one & heard that the wifi is also really bad there. Nearby Comfort Inn there is also holiday inn & howard johnson & are priced pretty much the same.
