H1B Cap Exempt -> Cap Subject Employer

I have a general question which has been asked and answered before, but still sking for my peace of mind. Hope you guys won't mind.

- I am currently working on H1B (Cap exempt) employer.

- I have never been considered under cap.

- If I apply for my new H1B visa through a cap subject employer from April 2013, can I immediately start working ?

- Is it true if my visa gets approved before 1st Oct 2013, I have to leave my job and rejoin them on 1st Oct ?

A cap subject H1 would mean you can only start in October onwards.

You can only start working for the cap-subject employer on Oct. 1.
