I have a current H1B and H4 visa stamping. Need to cancel H4 only since wife will be going for F1 stamping. How to go about it?

Hi,

I have a H1B and H4 visa stamping scheduled together in the last week of December in Mumbai. Due to some urgent circumstances, we need to switch my wife to F1 visa. We are in the process of getting her I20 etc for the F1 process.

How should i go about cancelling the H4 interview only? I have already paid the $380 for both of us.

I need to somehow decouple the H4 appointment fees and apply it toward her F1.

I can also repay the fees for her F1 . But then if she doesn't get an F1 approval, can i reuse the cancelled H4 fees towards getting the H4?

i don't want to just pay and waste more in fees. Is there a clean way to reclaim the fees i already paid for the joint appointment the bank receipt shows only one CGI reference number.
