tagstalin Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Hi, I am planning to spend my vacation in dominican republic or bahamas in December 2012. I am on a valid H1B status (stamped). Can any one who have recently visited either dominican republic or bahamas can share their experience who were on H1B visa? Would there be any problem at the port of entry in Miami? Should I carry all my documents like pay stubs, employment letter etc. or Just my H1B related documents like my i-797, 129 and LCA is sufficient? Also any nice vacation spots and hotels in both dominican republic and bahamas would be helpful. thanks.
Shruti1983 Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Its always good to carry the supporting documents at the PoE. Its better to be safe than sorry. about vacation spots you can google.
tagstalin Posted December 12, 2012 Author Report Posted December 12, 2012 Hi, Do I need visiting visa to dominican republic? I have a valid H1B visa stamp. I have read online that if you have a valid H1 stamp, you dont need a visiting visa and u just buy the tourist card. If anyone who has recently been there can share their views that would be great. thanks.
