rahul412 Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 One of my friends recently got his H1 visa. He attended the interview along with his wife, everything went fine and both got their visas. But when they saw the expiration dates they were little bit surprised. H1 visa was given for 1 yr and H4 was give for full 3 yrs.
krialta Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Its just the visa, whats your point??
rahul412 Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Posted November 20, 2012 Its just the visa, whats your point?? Primary applicants visa expiration time is less than his dependent's expiration.
t75 Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 So he has to reapply. There is no problem. If he doesn't like it, he does not have to use it.
pontevecchio Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Since the H4 status is dependent on the H1 status and since the visa is only an entry document , it makes no difference even if stamped in error..
rahul412 Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Posted November 20, 2012 it makes no difference even if stamped in error.. makes sense....
