While i was on L1B my company applied for H1B which was approved and was valid from October 2010. More Details: Came to US on L1-B- Feb 2007 Left from US to India (still on L1-B which was valid) - July 2010 H1-B Valid from - Oct 2010 Came back to US after getting H1B stamped (visa was stamped in Jan 2011) - Oct 2011 My question is that in this case is my counter reset because i was outside US for about 14 months plus the visa i came back on was from new petition?
pontevecchio Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 The counter can only be reset by staying out for one year and then having a H1 sponsor file a H1 petition SUBJECT to cap.
