EAD/AP renewal/Wife out of country

Hi,

My EAD is going to expire in May, 2013 and wife is planning to visit India in January. I have the following questions in this regards.

1. I have valid H1B so i did not use the EAD yet, What happens to my H1B or EAD when my wife come back with her AP?

2. Can i apply here EAD/AP when she is out of country? If so is it get approved? if so can she enter with the one approved when she was out?
