vrocky6891 Posted November 15, 2012 Report Posted November 15, 2012 Hello everyone, I recently had h1b transfer + extension. Planning to go for stamping to canada in JAN. But by that time i will not get W2 forms from old employer and present employer as well. does the w2 form mandatory or paystubs is enough?? as i am planning to go in JAn, do they expect W2 form as well?? Thanks in advance..
luck2u Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Paystubs are good enough as you will not get W2's till end of January. But make sure to carry as many paystubs as possible for the year 2012.

arun45 Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 As per my understanding the employers are usually supposed to provide their employees the W2s by Jan end of every year. But, usually its not the case with every company. Just wait and see when you get your 12 W2. But, whatever you have received is the proof that you have. Most recent paystubs play better role, in the absence of W2... if you do not have your W2, better keep the past 12 mo paystubs??!
