Urgent: not able to upload photo to DS 160

Hi,

I have interview next week and I am not able to upload my pic to DS 160 (saved one).

Please suggest a way to upload my picture to DS160.

I assume its due to auto image check. Check the error while uploading, use picasa or other tool to improve picture quality/fix the issue (generally contrast). If this won't work try to take another picture with better camera.

Is it uploading but not accepting the picture or it will not upload at all/

The pic has to be less than 250kb in size , i have uploaded a pic taken with my phone on a whilte back ground and uploaded to DS forms . it complain me initially about size once it make it less than 250kb it accepted. You can use some tools available online for free ( ex., www.idphoto4you.com )

No need to panic !! You need to read the instructions and then resize/edit the picture using a free online resizing tool.Otherwise just take $10 CAD (IF GOING TO CANADA) as well as your own pics with you for interview.They may take one of those or have you take a new one on their machine.If it makes you feel better I had uploaded one but they still took and used the one extra i Had from Walgreens !!

FYI if you are going to Vancouver, In consualte photo booth is out of service on oct 30.

Grab a soft copy from Walgreens, that did it for me...

it says Picture passed all the specifications and after that when I click on Review it say photo not provided.

not getting any sought of errors.

So can I just go ahead and submit my application and get the confirmation page without picture. Is that fine please let me know asap.

hi,

I had the same trouble, but finally figured it out.

suggestions:

1. Use a digital Camera (Dont use Cellphone camera)

2. The person taking the photo should be exactly one foot or two foot away from the person he is taking photo of .

Try these it will diffinately work.

Use picasa and adjust the back ground color. It would fix the issue.

Anyways, $20, you would get a good one from walgreens or Sears.
