I-797 not returned in Toronto

Hi All,

I went for Visa stamping today in toronto and it was quite easy and only 2-3 questions regarding Company profile and roles and responsibilities and he told your visa is approved and will get ur passport in next 3-5 business days.But i have one question as VO kept my original I-797 with him and didn't returned back to me.Just want to check will i get it with my passport and it is normal process or i need to check with embassy after i receive my passport .

As I was reading posts here ..you are fine and your 797 will be returned with your passport.

This is a normal practice these days in most of the consulates. Just to make sure the Visa they are going to stamp has correct Employer name , petition number and duration of visa. You will receive your I797a along with the passport. Cheers !

VO asked about my roles and responsiblities for new job ,Company profile ,No of employess company has in US and aksed for original I-797 and later kept along with him...and Visa was approved .

do you get any email from consulate to pickup passport, I also have interview on 13th and I did not get mail yet

Hi All,

I didn't received mail from consulate but I just check on US website and passport was ready for pickup so I went and collected the same from Brampton. Received both passport and I-797 .
