Drive to CANADA(Ottawa) by Road

Hi All,

I'm Planning to go Ottawa for H1B Stamping in December 2012 by Road.

I would like to know the rules/options to travel !

Is it suggestible to travel by road? I'm planning to Stay in canada for new year, so wanted to drive my own car.

What all documents do i need to carry to cross the border?

Also with a car in-hand it would be better for commuting within canada after Interview as it might take few weeks for getting passport( christmas-newyr week).

Please let me know your suggestions.

You need a carnet if you are taking your car and that is available from AAA. Other than that the Canadian visa.

Check with your insurance company if the coverage extends to Canada or Not?
