Hi all,

Thanks to murthy forum community for valuble info posted in this forum. Its my turn to giveback.

My profile:

F1 - Opt - H1b

Fulltime emp

Interview details:

VO:Who do you work for?

Me: XXX

VO; you directly work for them (Making sure i am not contracting)

Me: Yes, Work directly to my employer at Company location. Passed my emp verification letter

Vo: Visa Approved.

From my observation, if you are EVC or EC, they are grilling a lot to confuse you to get the truth out of you.

Any bad remarks about your employer given by your ex-employess will effect your stamping ( my suggestion dont go for stamping while working for Employer who has complaints from DOL).

On the interview day before me saw a EVC grilled for 20 Min and issued 221g. they are getting ready to grill you when you say 'Yes' to question "VO: Do you have Client". Also questions like Why changed employer. Why did you change from XXX univ to YYY univ on F1. Whats good about YYY Univ. Client letter, vendor letter, Paystubs are thoughly verified...so if your not getting paid on time you will get the 221g. Changing employers and transferring to different Univ's is going to make your case weaker for visa approval. So my suggestion.. plz stop employer hopping and get good employment history before stamping. Ottawa consulate has less applicants ( compared to Che, Hyd,Mum, Dhl)...they are taking their own time during interview to go thru every detail about you and come to decision.

That's 100% true. Bottom-line is " if your employment and your previous status in US is good, then your visa is approved"

Thanks for sharing your experiences, in light of EVC EC or Full time we cannot guarantee one works and other fails.

lets not rationalize rather share experiences and encourage co consultants.Good Luck

hello Maverick33 ,

Thank you for posting your experience.I have an appointment on Nov 13 at Ottawa.

Here is the details of my case.

Model : EVC

Working for same employer more than 5 yrs, working for same client more than 3 yrs.

I got all letters (client ,vendor ,employement).

Vendor letter mentioned that my employer has full control and even client letter too.

Can you please advice.

Thanks

@SaveusGod...plz make sure ur employer doesnt have bad remarks or compalints to DOL. I have seen in the consulate, Consultants giving bad review about their previous employer when asked

VO: Why did you changed employer from XXX to YYY.

Ans: XXX is not paying on time, thats why I switched.

the Vo is noting down these remarks, and when a employee of XXX goes for stamping, they are interrogating by asking " Is XXX paying on time? Be honest..., are you on bench between changing clients?"

this scenerio you will not know until you face the VO and VO pulls up your employer details in the system. You can answer these questions confidently and try your best to convice the VO during the interview. Let the VO finish his question and then start your answer, this way you will not interrupt the VO and looks professional.

This is just my observation on the day of my interview in ottawa. My appointment was at 10 am and I sat there in the interview area observing the VO windows for nearly 1 hr before my turn came for interview.

Hope this helps Good luck.
