It is highly not recomended to do so, as the VO might certainly get inclined to know - Why did you not opt for stamping in India, which is you home country, but came to Canada for the same.

Also, if it is your first US (H1b) visa stamping, then dont think you will be eligible to go for stamping outside of your home country, but the experts here can correct me if I am wrong.

That's right. When you had a chance to get stamping done in your home country itself then why did you came to Canada?

@ Good Cause : As per the exact rules, first time stamping is suppose to be from home country but many people have got stamped in Canada though they had their stamping for first time. Recently havn't heard from anyone facing this issue.

You can definitely go to stamping by going from India to Canada but make sure that you have right answers to justify when asked for reason.
