Hi, I have visa appointment on November 30th,2012.

My question is how the procedure for stamping changed?

More specifically,

earlier we used to submit all the documents way before appointment date. What about now I mean according to new procedure?

Do I need to take care anything extra with new procedure compared to old procedure.

Thanks in advance

You no need to submit your documents 3 days before your appointment as you did in earlier process. Now, you can directly carry all your documents to your visa interview appointment. And for OFC, you need to carry Passport, DS 160 Confirmation page, I-797 Notice (H1B Approval), MRV Fee receipt.

Hope this info helps you!!

In hyderbad, advance submission is no more required.

One other change is that, the finger printing and photo is a seperate appointment that has to be scheduled via ustraveldocs.com/in at the time of booking your actual visa appointment.

I had my visa appointment in the last week of October.

You no longer need to submit your documents in advance. However, you need to book two appointments - one for the OFC, for a photograph and fingerprints and the other for your visa interview.

You need your DS-160 confirmation, appointment letter and passport for the OFC appointment.

You do not need to carry any photographs with you any longer for the visa interview. The rest of the documents are the same though.
