employment verification letter start date

Hi All,

I started working for my company since Sep 2007 as a CPT and then OPT and then on H1B since Oct, 2008.

My question is, in the employment verification letter(when i go for stamping), which date should I mention, is it Oct 2008(H1B) OR Sep 2007(CPT)

I had the same question....

If you mention that your employment start date as Sep 2007, this start date will not show in your I-797 Form (since the start date here will be Oct 2008). How would you prove the employment with the Company started from Sep 2007 apart from the Offer Letter given to you in Sep 2007 ? It might confuse the VO more and delay the process

May be verbally you can explain that employment started in Sep2007 and show the Offer Letter and CPT - I20.
