Error in Canada TRV application?!?!

Hello All

I realized that I entered incorrect information on the IMM5257E; in the Education fields after the validation was done and got the barcodes too!

Can I fill out a new application starting all over again? Or is there any other way to correct the errors?

you can edit the one you have right now. once you edit it you can validate it again and it will generate another barcode for you.

Details:

USA Entry for Univ1 in Aug, 2007

Transferred to Univ2 in Feb 2008.

On the IMM5257E form, in the Education section, I have entered starting date as Aug, 2007, and entered Univ2 address details. Does this cause any problem? What would be the correct details to provide? And there is no option on the form to add 2 Univs??

Any pointers highly appreciated.

Yes you can fill the new application with validated barcodes thatz not an issue

Hi pyerragunta,

You can change and revalidate the IMM5257E form anytime. You will not get any issues.

I made changes multiple times and just revalidated it each time when I make changes. I got canada TRV.

Have a quick question, if you have any idea!

I came to USA to Univ1 in 2007 Aug and transferred to Univ2 in Feb 2008. So what should I be entering in the education section where I don't have any option to give multiple schools?

I gave the start date as Aug 2007, with Univ2 address detials. Is it correct or should I enter Feb 2008, Univ2?

Hi pyerragunta,

As there is only one row provided for education, I would suggest to enter the lastest university details (i.e. Univ2). I don't think the would verify your education and family details.

In my case, my old visa was stamped on my old passport which I didn't send to them. They send a e-mail by asking Old US visa details. I scanned First, Last pages of my old passport and Visa page and I-94. The whole process took 15days in MI.

So, I believe you will be good by entering the Univ2 details. Do not worry much about the details which you are not submiting the documents.
