Visa Interview in Chennai or Hyderabad?

Hello!

The visa dates for December 2012 in the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad don't seem to be available. So, I'm thinking I'll go to the U.S. Consulate in Chennai for the Visa Interview. Regarding this, I have few questions before making the decision. It'd be great if anyone out there can post few responses:

Q1:Is there any risk involved if I'm originally from Hyderabad but pick the U.S. Consulate in Chennai rather than the one in Hyderabad, because of the dates not being available in Hyderabad?

Q2:If I do pick the Chennai consulate, would it be best to have the OFC interview also in Chennai? Or would it suffice to take the OFC in Hyderabad?

Q3: Does anyone foresee any possibility of few dates opening up in Hyderabad due to any cancellations? I'm trying to see the trend for the month of December.

Note:

1. A colleague of mine, originally from Tamil Nadu went to the Chennai consulate last week & successfully got the visa stamped. So, my company doesn't foresee any issues since we are full-time employees & all paperwork is ready & available. I'm only trying to see if I pose any risk since I'm originally from Andhra Pradesh & choosing Chennai would be an issue.
   
2. I got my previous visa stamped in Chennai. But there was no U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad then.
