rahulreddy Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Hi Guys, I have noticed in the forums that most of them mentioned that in Ottawa most of the people in EVC model are getting 221(g)'s. I was wondering even after having the client letter you still think that they are issuing 221(g). I am on EVC Model and i have the client letter . Please let me know if it is advisable to go to Ottawa if i have the Client Letter. FYI: My appointment is on Nov 13th 2012. Thanks, Rahul.
bharadwaj_mudigonda Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 I think if you have client letter, then Ottawa is fine.....if not they will most probably issue a 221 G and ask for further info or contract client with some questions
New0987 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Hi Rahul, I have my appointment on the same day. Also i am in EVC model and also worried about that. I have my Client letter and still worried. Please reach me @ kollipara9 at gmail dot com Thanks, Bapaiah.
ar008 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Hello Rahul, I had my interview on 29th Oct and VISA is approved. I am on EVC model. The questions asked were: 1. Who is your employer 2. What does your employer do 3. Who is your end client I told him about my end client and gave him the client letter. VO said, VISA is approved. Attend the interview at your own risk, even if you have all the documents.
user513 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 If you are lucky you may avoid 221g if you are on EVC model though you have client letter. Better ask your manager weather he is ready to answer the questions that comes from embassy.
venkatakt Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 you can still get 221g even if you have client letter & vendor letter
James32 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Venkat, Do you know any reason what they are looking when they give 221(g)? Also, If you already know or been there, do you know visa issuance vs 221(g) rate? So that can be compared to Indian consulate and can be decided should I go to there or Canada?
user513 Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 @ James32: If you are on EVC model they are trying to find how the employer is controlling employee when you have a vendor in b/w client. I would say 70% 221(g) from what i have seen. But don't know current situation.
venkatakt Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 well i attended visa interview on oct 15th. i know 5 people including me in EVC model had interview on that day everybody got 221 g except me. the vo said my applicaiton is under review and i got my passport after 4 days . usually you will get email from loomis to pick the passport the next day. i got that email on the 4 th day . i do not know any specific reason why they give 221g or what they are looking but try to make sure your client and work location is same in your I129,LCA, your employer letter to the consulate , and carry client and vendor letters. if you have changed your client after your h1 got approved make sure you do a H1 ammendment. some desi employers say Updating the LCA is enough but they defnetly are looking for H1 ammendment. these are the minimum thing i would take care of if im attending Visa interview. following all the above doesnt guarantee visa it only reduces your chances of getting 221g. hope this helps and wish u good luck
