ravi4408 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Hi all, I got an email today saying that my VISA is approved and i can collect the passport at consulate on Thursday(Nov1) Here is the sequence of events for your reference. OCT 15th Interview at 9.30 A.M. VO asked simple straighforward questions like who is your employer? How long have you been working with him? do you have an end client? what is thier name? Did you do masters? Which college? Then asked for 1-129, LCA , paystubs and while taking out LCA and Paysubs he saw my employer documents like wage reports, employee list , employee contract. He asked for the whole pack and i gave it to her. VO didnot even look at the documents , she just bundled it and gave me 221g white paper. OCT 15th: 11.40 A.M Got an email asking for client letter/ client information. You can either email or dropoff. i wanted to dropit off to see where this document goes. But learned a truth that either you email/inperson it will go into your documents. OCT16th: Dropped off client letter mentioned above. OCT17th: COnsulate holiday (every 3rd wednesday) OCT18th: Client HR got an email followed by phone call in couple of hours asking about employer-employee questions. Client replied the same day. OCT24th: I wrote an email asking for update and they replied that it is still in processing OCT29th: I wrote another email which got a reply on 30th with the golden words that your visa is approved and pickit up on NOV 1st. so the whole process from start to finish took 15 days. I have seen other people here who got it in 2 weeks and for some people it took 4 weeks but it all depends on how quickly your client responds. For the person which took 4 weeks , client responded after 2 weeks. I am not sure what is triggering 221g but i think it is a random pick. The day i attended there are around 9-10 people and i am the only one who got 221g. I must be very Lucky. Anyways even if you get 221g - dont worry you will get the visa but be prepared for 2-3 weeks vacation. Things you can do -- Intimate client manager or hr that they may get email. Make plans to stay for 2-3 weeks. Best of Luck to anybody waiting on 221g.

yamohan Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 Guys, Any one heard of any update on the questions sent to Client HR ? Please share if any one got to know. It would be very helpful. Thanks, Mohan
ravi4408 Posted November 1, 2012 Author Report Posted November 1, 2012 Hi Guys, I am answering questions as best of my knowledge. Yes i did my masters. I think you can go for stamping even if you did not do Masters in USA. If you have the proper paperwork then you can even go for Home country. But the reason people choose canada is the processing will be much more faster even if you get a 221g. HR didnot send me an email. She just spoke to me on the phone. There are essentially 5 questions 1. The Client letter that you provided here is it genuine and the information is true? Ans: Yes it is genuine and the information provided is True. 2. Who is the person who controls this person(me) Ans: Petitioner(Employer) 3. Do you have a direct contract with the employer(XXXX) Ans: No We have a direct contract with Prime vendor(XXXX) and sometimes he hires or subcontracts persons from a different company(Employer). so the primevendor(XXX) has a contarct with Employer(XXX). This answer applies for EVC. 4. What are the start and end dates of this person Ans: The start date is as mentioned on client letter and end date is Dec 2012 which is extended one year now to Dec 2013 with possibility of extension. 5. Provide a contact name , email , phone number of the prime vendor Ans: xxxx sorry i donot have knowledge on L1 to H1 situation. Hope the above information would be helpful.
