H1B Stamping - India or Vancouver, Canada (November or December)

Friends,

Need help with stamping getting done in Canada or India. I need to be India for sister's wedding on Dec16th. I just got H1B approved today i.e., 10-30-2012. So, what are my chances of booking visa appointment dates at Vancouver, Canada and Hyderabad, India. I am a full time employee. Applying H1B for the first time (F1 to H1B). What I understand from this forum that Vancouver dates are available around Mar 07, 2013(not from official source).

It is very hard to get visa dates in Vancouver. I'd rather suggest you to try calgary or toronto. Since you are FTE it shouldn't be a prob if you go any where in Canada.

I would say...schedule one appointment first and keep checking OFTEN..

Every 5mins.... even midnight.

Someone might cancel. That's how I got mine. Feb to Dec.

@krish8119 - so can we changed the dates after we booked the appointment ? or do we have to cancel our original appointment and reshedule new one.

We can change dates.. Once you block your date, click on reschedule appointment and look for the dates, refresh every 5mins..

If you are comfy with the date click on it...the new one will be your current and the old one will get cancelled automatically.

Can somebody tell me why Hyd is not preferred as said by ypr123 and krish8119 above? even though it is a FTE case? Thanks.
